Re:new is excited to move to the downtown shopping area in November. Re:new is fulfilling a dream many years in the making and we are excited about settling into our new home in the heart of Glen Ellyn.
Founded in 2010, Re:new is a non-profit organization that provides employment and community to refugee women living in DuPage County. Re:new is driven by a team of over 40 women volunteers, staff and Artisans working together to design, create and market locally handcrafted products as we provide a space for refugee women to thrive.
Re:new is a unique space where women laugh much, work hard and have fun while creating beautiful, handmade, one-of-a-kind handbags and accessories. Each item is carefully crafted using fabulous fabrics donated by local businesses and individuals. By investing in the professional and personal development of every refugee Artisan employed by Re:new, we provide a foundation for transforming and changing lives. Since our founding in 2010, more than 120 refugee women from around the world have received training and employment at Re:new.
When you shop at Re:new you are shopping with a purpose. We offer over 20 styles of handbags and accessories all handmade and carefully crafted by individual Artisans. Each one-of-a-kind product is masterfully created using recycled textiles. Every item is unique and meticulously crafted with the greatest of skill. Our production philosophy is simple: ensure every Artisan is able to create her product from beginning to end, equipping her with the necessary skills to develop and sew products of her own in the future. Each and every product is a work of art.
